SDTKD Winter Grading – Part 1
Congratulations to the 17 students who performed at our winter grading recently. As mentioned during grading, we intentionally separated the green – red on this occasion to give students more focus time to shine and to combat the cold winter temperature of the hall, by avoiding too much down time. The level of performances asked of students rivaled that of Dan grading, and we through in a few very difficult scenarios to take people out of comfort zone.
We are delighted to announce that all have passed, and passed very well. There were a few difficulties with poomsae facing mixed directions, but only those who stumbled, were being asked a discipline above & beyond the grade you applied for. Next time it will be required!
The group shone with a great atmosphere, we would like to single out one students who’s enthusiasm for his grading was superb. Leeroy Dilandu shone on the day showing us all why he is a well known student throughout our club. Well done Leroy.
As mentioned by Master Taaffe during grading’ ‘Dont just pass grading, nail your grading. If the examiner asks you a question, tell him as much as you can possibly tell them with your answer. Never leave an opportunity to show off more of your taekwondo knowledge‘.
Delighted to see an excellent show of technical taekwondo on the morning with all impressing at their specific levels.
It should be an exciting time for many of the students listed below who may be undertaking a black belt grading in the not too distant future. Time to start really working hard, we expect top notch commitment and to see you through to black belt!
On Friday 24th January we will be holding the 2nd part of our winter grading, where all white – yellow, and a handful of students who were unavailable on the 1st date will sit their test. Those wishing to register for grading can do so in usual place online.
