German Open 2013
SDTKD had one player in attendance at the German Open. Young Jack Woolley fresh from victories at Trelleborg, Meath & Open Challenge Cup faced biggest test to date on the centre stage at one of the worlds largest events, the A Class German Open.
The 44 strong division was littered with previous opponents of the -45kg youngster, and future ones to come.
A tough draw in round 1 versus a Kazakhstan national player proved unsuccessful for Jack, a setback, but a strong lesson was learned & hopefully will allow for a focused Dutch Open the week following where many of the same players will be present.
Consolation and positive direction was found seeing previous conquests of Jack getting to later rounds and medaling in the division.
SDTKD would like to sincerely thank support of Club Coaches & Irish Taekwondo Union for valuable contribution towards our players development.
Well Done Jack. Firm Foundations being set for a prosperous future and paving the way for upcoming club students in coming years.
